How to Make Money With Adsense
By Moe Bedard on Jun 30, 2009 in AdSense
Right now, my websites are making and additional $200-$400 per day on top of other marketing using this method.
Google AdSense offers a way for anyone to share in the income earned by Google through AdWords in which Internet marketers are able to advertise their products or services.
This is a primary source of revenue for Google, which has earned its popularity by providing free online searching services. It is this popularity that attracts advertisers to use Google AdWords to make their products or services known to the millions of online searchers.
You can just imagine the income-generating potential of this service offered by Google. Does the dollar sign appear in your eyes now?
There are millions, or even billions, of advertising dollars out there and if you could just get a piece of the pie, even if it is just a small piece. With Google’s program known as AdSense you can do exactly that!
But why would Google give money away? The answer is not exactly.
Google is not giving away its own money. For you to participate in AdSense, you must have a website and you will insert a code that will automatically display a Google ad that is related to the contents of your website.
Google gets paid by the advertisers based on the number of clicks their ads get. Therefore, if there are millions who take part in AdSense who display these Google ads in their sites, guess what? The chances of getting the Google ads clicked is multiplied by a gigantic number, Google’s revenue increases and you get to share in this income depending on the performance of the ads on your site.
How Much Can You Expect to Earn with AdSense?
That question is hard to answer because the cost-per-click could vary within a range of a few cents to about $15 per click. It only makes sense that the most popular topics will have the highest prices so you can try to increase your revenue by focusing on them in your site.
Some of the top pay outs reported on ther internet have went to:
- Markus Frind (plentyoffish.com) – Average $300,000 per month
- Kevin Rose (digg.com) – Average $250,000 per month
- Jeremy Schoemaker (hundreds of sites and domains) – Average $140,000 per month
- Jason Calacanis (weblogs.com) – Average $120,000 per month
- David Miles Jr. & Kato Leonard (freeweblayouts.net) – Average $100,000 per month
- Tim Carter (askthebuilder.com) – Average $30,000 per month

- Shawn Hogan (digitalpoint.com) – Average $10,000 per month
- Moe Bedard (LoanSafe.org & LoanWorkout.org) – Average $9,000 per month
Beware of get rich snake oil salesman!
This is not a get-rich-quick scheme but there have been reports of four-digit and even five-digit incomes. Your income will really depend on a lot of things so this is difficult to predict.
However, you may be able to get some ball-park figures by examining the statistics that Google will provide you. Your income and the number of clicks that you have earned will be provided to you daily and you can use this to obtain your average commission per click.
No Traffic Equals No AdSense Income!
It is important to remember that it is the traffic to your site that matters if you want to earn money from AdSense. If you have not visitors to your site, nobody will be able to click on the Google ads, hence, no income.
First of all, Google screens the websites for AdSense and if it looks unprofessional and appears to be deficient in attracting visitors, it would not accept your site anyway. Take note too that Google no longer accepts free websites because they usually have pop-ups and banners that distract your visitor.
If you already have a blog or website that has thousands of visitors per day, congratulations! It’s time to turn that traffic into cash with AdSense. If you are new in this field, it helps to familiarize yourself first on how to build an attractive site that gets a substantial amount of visitors.
Content Is King
As always, content is of the highest importance if you want to earn with Google AdSense. Your website must offer interesting and up-to-date information on the most popular topics. So make sure that you are familiar with the topic you are focusing on. It also makes sense to add something new to your site regularly or else why would your visitors keep coming back to your site?
Some Strategies for Increasing Your Chances of Making Money with AdSense
When a visitor clicks on a Google search result and finds himself looking at your website, your job is to keep him there. The longer he stays in your site, the bigger the chance that he will click on one of those Google ads, right? So, interesting articles and content are the basic way to keep him there.
Another way is through the use of graphics and colors that are attractive to most people. What you can do is research the kinds of colors and graphics that are the most successful. Or you can look at the sites that are earning lots of traffic and cash. What are the colors used and how are the graphics placed on the site?
Don’t forget to keep on fine-tuning your site until massive traffic is there. Just be patient and keep trying until you find the proper formula.
